Grilling chicken at the table, peeled dragon fruit, and saying goodbye at the airport. It was a wonderful visit, but way too short.

Clamming on a sand flat.

A cute baby and a cute grandma!

Here are a few pictures of the market.

Trying to coax Emma to smile!

This is Joy's favorite beach. It has deep soft sand and is surrounded by cliffs making it fairly secluded. The water is very pleasant.

Enough with the scenery already! More baby pictures!

Here's the cute little family, their apartment complex, and a view of the coast.

Here are a couple of pictures from a restaurant. We ate two fairly authentic meals. This one was seated on the floor with charcoal grilling "mystery meat" (I think pork). The idea is to make a small wrap with a sesame or bib lettuce leaf and samples of several side dishes inside. It was fun and tasty. Another similar meal had chicken with sides. The squid was actually quite good - in a tasty rubber bandy sort of way.

It will take several posts to hold the key pictures. Here's a few more. Aren't these proud parents beautiful and handsome?!

Over this past 10 days Jeni and I took a whirlwind trip to South Korea to see our kids Matt and Joy, and their new baby (our new granddaughter) Emma. Travel is a pain, and jet lag is too, but the trip was well worth it to see the kids, their island of Jeju, and the cuddly new baby. Here are a few pics on arrival.
